Consent, quality and what to expect
An avatar of you or a staff member is a likeness of a real person. Get written permission before you create one, agree on how it will be used, and agree on what happens when that person leaves. Ask each vendor how it confirms consent before building a custom avatar or voice clone.
Avatar videos work best for clear, scripted information: product walkthroughs, policy updates, onboarding and multilingual versions of the same message. They are weaker for emotional or personal messages, where viewers notice small mismatches in expression. Keep scripts short and natural, and preview every video before it goes out.
Translation is a major time saver for businesses that serve customers in more than one language. Both tools translate scripts and match lip movements, but a native speaker should still check each version for tone and accuracy.
