EDITORIAL POLICY

Editorial policy

These are the rules we follow when we choose, write about and update the AI tools and breakthroughs on Leapscope.

How picks are chosen

  • We start from the job a reader needs done, such as answering calls or taking notes, not from a list of vendors.
  • We compare price, free plans and trials, features, ease of setup for a small team, privacy and whether a person can step in when the AI gets it wrong.
  • We read the vendor’s own documentation and pricing, then independent reviews and reports from real users.
  • The pick is the tool we would choose for most readers. Runners up and their flaws are listed next to it.

The full method for buying guides is on how we pick.

No paid placements

Nobody can pay to be included, to rank higher or to have a review changed. Some links are affiliate links and may earn us a commission; we choose picks first and look for affiliate programs after. We list tools that pay us nothing, and a commission never changes a rank. See the affiliate disclosure.

Hands on testing

Hands on testing is in progress. We are building a repeatable test for each category. Until a guide says a tool was tested by us, its pick rests on documented research and outside reviews, and the page says so.

AI assisted research, human review

We use AI tools to gather sources, summarise documentation and draft text. A person checks every claim against its source, edits the copy and approves the page. Facts that cannot be traced to a source are removed.

Sources and dates

Every guide, tool profile and breakthrough links to where its facts came from and shows the date we last checked them. Vendor pages describe their own products; we label them as such and add independent sources where they exist.

Update cadence

We recheck prices and plans in each buying guide at least every three months, and sooner when a vendor changes pricing or a reader reports a change. Breakthrough stories are updated when new evidence moves them up or down the ladder; the original announcement date is kept.

Corrections

If something is wrong, email [email protected] with the page and, if you can, a source. We fix confirmed errors promptly and update the checked date on the page.
