OUR VERDICT

The Yeedi C14 Pro Plus is a budget LiDAR robot vacuum with a bagless self emptying dock that does surprisingly well on pet hair. In Vacuum Wars' tests it picked up 94 percent of flattened pet hair with no tangles. It is worth it for pet owners on a budget who mainly need vacuuming, but its mop is weak and it has no obstacle avoidance.

What Yeedi C14 Pro Plus is

The C14 Pro Plus is a robot vacuum from Yeedi with a flat mop pad and an auto empty dock. The dock is bagless, with a 1.5 liter bin that Yeedi says holds up to 45 days of debris, depending on your home Vacuum Wars launch ↗. The robot itself has a 400 mL dustbin and stands 3.8 inches tall Vacuum Wars launch ↗.

Yeedi rates its suction at 11,000 Pa across four levels, up from 8,000 Pa on the older C12 Pro Plus Vacuum Wars launch ↗. It maps your home with a spinning LiDAR sensor Vacuum Wars launch ↗.

Vacuum Wars named it its best robot vacuum under $300, with the note that this applies when it is discounted below that price Vacuum Wars budget ↗. Hands on testing is in progress on our side, and we will update this review with results.

What it does well

Pet hair is its strength. In Vacuum Wars' tests it picked up 94 percent of flattened pet hair, against an 82 percent average Vacuum Wars budget ↗. In the 7 inch hair test, none of the hair wrapped around its brushes, against a 26 percent average Vacuum Wars budget ↗. Yeedi credits its anti tangle brush Vacuum Wars launch ↗.

It cleans carpet well. Vacuum Wars rated its carpet deep cleaning well above average, and its suction port result was almost twice the studio average Vacuum Wars budget ↗.

Navigation is efficient for the price. LiDAR mapping supports multi level maps, room schedules, zone cleaning, no go and no mop zones, recharge and resume, and carpet boost Vacuum Wars launch ↗. Vacuum Wars found it more than 10 percent more efficient than average Vacuum Wars budget ↗.

The battery goes further than most. Vacuum Wars estimated much higher than average coverage per charge, though it did not give a number Vacuum Wars budget ↗.

The dock costs nothing to run. Because it is bagless, you empty the bin instead of buying dust bags Vacuum Wars launch ↗. It climbs thresholds up to 20 mm Vacuum Wars launch ↗.

Where it falls short

The mop is weak. It uses a fixed flat pad with a 300 mL tank and no scrubbing, lifting, washing or drying Vacuum Wars launch ↗. Vacuum Wars gave it a stain score 80 points below average Vacuum Wars budget ↗. You refill the water and wash the pad yourself Vacuum Wars budget ↗.

It has no dedicated obstacle avoidance Vacuum Wars budget ↗. Pick up cords and socks before a run, and be careful in homes where pets have accidents.

Hard floors are not perfect. Vacuum Wars saw a fair amount of fine debris scattered on the first pass Vacuum Wars budget ↗.

The dock holds about 45 days of debris, less than pricier docks that last 90 days or more Vacuum Wars launch ↗ Vacuum Wars $1,000 to $1,300 ↗.

Wi Fi is 2.4 GHz only, and there is no Matter support or live video Vacuum Wars launch ↗.
