OUR VERDICT

The Roborock Saros 10R is a thin robot vacuum and mop that slides under low couches and beds, with strong obstacle avoidance and a dock that washes and dries its mops. RTINGS calls it the best robot vacuum it has tested. It is worth it at its sale price for homes with low furniture, though Roborock does not publish a suction rating and the standard warranty is only 1 year.

What it does well

It fits under low furniture. At 3.14 inches tall, it can reach under many couches and beds that taller robots bump into Roborock Saros 10R ↗. RTINGS highlights its low profile RTINGS ↗.

It avoids obstacles well. It navigates with Roborock's StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, an enhanced 3D ToF system, an RGB camera and VertiBeam side obstacle detection Roborock Saros 10R ↗. RTINGS credits its multiple solid state LiDAR sensors and obstacle recognition for great obstacle avoidance RTINGS ↗.

It handles mixed floors. The dual spinning mops detach automatically so the robot can vacuum carpet without dragging wet pads Roborock Saros 10R ↗. A liftable chassis helps it climb thresholds up to 4 cm, and it lifts its mops 17 mm Roborock Saros 10R ↗. Roborock says the DuoDivide main brush is built to prevent hair tangles Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

The dock does most of the upkeep. It washes the mops with 176 degree Fahrenheit water and dries them with hot air for 2, 3 or 4 hours, and it collects dust automatically Roborock Saros 10R ↗. Roborock also lists hot water mopping up to 70 C and dirt detection that raises suction where needed Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

The 6,400 mAh battery recharges in about 2.5 hours Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

Where it falls short

Roborock does not publish its suction. The page advertises HyperForce suction but gives no Pa rating, so you cannot compare it on paper with rivals that list 30,000 Pa or more Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

Key dock numbers are missing too. Roborock does not state runtime, water tank sizes or dust bag capacity on the product page Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

Wi Fi is 2.4 GHz only, which can be a problem on some mesh routers Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

The standard warranty is 1 year, shorter than the 3 years Dreame lists on its robots Roborock Saros 10R ↗ Dreame X60 ↗. Roborock sells extended coverage separately Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

Stock looks uncertain. The page showed both an out of stock notice and a low stock count when we checked Roborock Saros 10R ↗.

Pricing and plans

Roborock's US store listed the Saros 10R at $899.99, down from a list price of $1,599.99 Roborock Saros 10R ↗. It is sold directly by Roborock and through other retailers.

The standard warranty is 1 year. Roborock offers an extended warranty for $89.99 for 1 extra year or $129.99 for 2 years Roborock Saros 10R ↗.
