The Pudu CC1 is a 4 in 1 commercial cleaning robot that sweeps, scrubs, vacuums and mops in one pass, listed from $22,000 at RobotLAB. It is capable, but the newer CC1 Pro costs only $2,000 more, adds stain detection and has a published monthly plan, so the original CC1 mainly makes sense if you can get it at a real discount.
What the Pudu CC1 is
The CC1 is an autonomous floor cleaning robot from Pudu Robotics. RobotLAB, a large US robotics integrator, describes it as a commercial 4 in 1 robot that sweeps, scrubs, vacuums and mops in a single pass, aimed at schools, healthcare, hotels, offices and retail RobotLAB CC1 ↗ RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗.
It is the earlier, non Pro version of Pudu's all in one cleaner. The CC1 Pro, our top pick for commercial cleaning robots, builds on the same design RobotLAB CC1 Pro ↗. RobotLAB sells, deploys, trains and services the CC1 nationwide RobotLAB CC1 ↗ RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗.
Hands on testing is in progress, and we will update this review with our results.
What it does well
One robot covers several jobs. Because it sweeps, scrubs, vacuums and mops in one pass, a single CC1 can handle a lobby, a hallway and a break room without switching machines RobotLAB CC1 ↗. RobotLAB lists it for both hard floors and carpet RobotLAB CC1 ↗.
It is built for long shifts. RobotLAB rates the battery for up to 8 hours with a 3 hour charge, and its dock charges the robot and empties the dust tank automatically RobotLAB CC1 ↗. That cuts the daily handling a person has to do.
Coverage is solid for its size. RobotLAB lists 8,000 square feet per hour RobotLAB CC1 ↗. That is a published number the CC1 Pro's page does not give; the Pro's coverage is listed as contact for details RobotLAB CC1 Pro ↗.
Navigation uses VSLAM+ and LiDAR, with ultrasonic sensors RobotLAB CC1 ↗. RobotLAB lists elevator integration, door opener integration and multi floor support, and says it works with RobotLAB Smart Pass RobotLAB CC1 ↗. That makes it suitable for buildings with more than one floor.
Where it falls short
The price gap to the Pro is small. RobotLAB lists the CC1 from $22,000 and the CC1 Pro from $24,000 RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗. For $2,000 more, the Pro adds automatic stain detection that raises cleaning intensity on dirty spots, plus self monitoring to reduce the spread of dirty water RobotLAB CC1 Pro ↗.
There is no monthly price. The Pro is listed at $669 a month on a 36 month robot as a service plan, but the CC1 shows no robot as a service price, and RobotLAB asks you to request a quote RobotLAB CC1 ↗ RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗. If you would rather rent than buy, that makes budgeting harder.
Published specs have gaps. RobotLAB does not list cleaning width, water tank sizes, warranty or what is included in the box RobotLAB CC1 ↗. It is also heavy at 75 kg (165 pounds) and measures 66.3 by 56.8 by 68.2 cm RobotLAB CC1 ↗.
Like any cleaning robot, plan for a person to fill tanks, empty bins, move obstacles and clean the spots it cannot reach.
Pricing and plans
RobotLAB lists the Pudu CC1 from $22,000 to buy RobotLAB CC1 ↗ RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗. No robot as a service price is shown, and RobotLAB says quotes cover purchase, financing and robot as a service options RobotLAB CC1 ↗.
RobotLAB's general terms apply across its cleaning robots. Leases run 36 to 60 months with a $1 buyout, and robot as a service plans run 36 months as standard, with an option to convert to purchase after month 12 RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗.
Neither page states a warranty RobotLAB CC1 ↗ RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗. If you buy or lease, RobotLAB's Standard service plan costs $199 a month per unit and covers 24/7 support, software updates, parts and labor, a loaner if downtime exceeds 48 hours, a quarterly health check and an annual on site visit; robot as a service plans include it RobotLAB cleaning robots ↗. Over three years, that plan adds $7,164 to the purchase price.
It is sold in the US through RobotLAB, which offers free demos and quotes RobotLAB CC1 ↗.
