At $1,299.99 it suits homes where mopping is the main job, but it costs more than robots that rank higher in independent tests, carries a one year warranty, and we found little independent test data for it.
What the Ecovacs DEEBOT X12S Pro Omni is
The DEEBOT X12S Pro Omni is a robot vacuum and mop from Ecovacs. Instead of the spinning pads most robots use, it mops with a roller, the OZMO Roller 3.0, which is 27 cm long and presses down with 4,000 Pa of pressure Ecovacs store ↗. What it does well
Mopping is the focus. A roller mop keeps rewetting and cleaning itself as it goes, and the X12S Pro Omni adds a FocusJet pre spray and an automatic detergent dispenser Smart Home Compared ↗. Where it falls short
Independent testing is thin. We could not find a lab review of this exact model, and it does not appear among the top picks of the testers we used for our robot vacuum guide Vacuum Wars $1,300 to $1,600 ↗. Most published figures come from Ecovacs itself.
Some specs are unclear. Ecovacs rates suction in AW rather than the Pa figure most rivals use, which makes comparisons harder Ecovacs store ↗. Its page gives the roller speed as 220 RPM in one place and 260 RPM in another, and does not list dust bag or clean water tank capacities Ecovacs store ↗. The 100 degree water figure is a lab result, and Ecovacs says real world temperatures may vary Ecovacs store ↗.
