OUR VERDICT

The Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni is a robot vacuum with a roller mop and a full self cleaning dock, and it posted the best pet hair score we saw in Vacuum Wars' testing. It is an excellent buy if you can find it in the $300 to $600 range Vacuum Wars reports, but Ecovacs' own US store listed it as sold out at $799.99 when we checked.

What the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni is

The Deebot T90 Pro Omni is a robot vacuum and mop with an all in one dock that Ecovacs calls the OMNI Station. The robot is rated for up to 30,000 Pa of suction Ecovacs US ↗. Instead of spinning pads, it mops with a roller called OZMO Roller 3.0, which is 10.63 inches long and spins up to 200 RPM Ecovacs US ↗.

The dock empties the robot into a 2.5 liter dust bag, washes the mop roller with water heated to 75 degrees Celsius, dries it with hot air, and dispenses cleaning solution Ecovacs US ↗. It has a 4 liter clean water tank and a 2.2 liter dirty water tank Ecovacs US ↗. Ecovacs says the dock gives up to 90 days without emptying Ecovacs US ↗.

For navigation and obstacle avoidance it uses a mini ToF sensor, structured light and an RGB AI camera with a supplementary light Ecovacs US ↗. The robot is 95 mm tall and weighs 5.3 kg Ecovacs US ↗.

What it does well

Pet hair is where it shines. Vacuum Wars gave it a pet score of 4.85 out of 5, the best we saw on its lists, with no roller tangles in its 7 inch hair test and 100 percent of embedded pet hair picked up from carpet Vacuum Wars ↗. Ecovacs credits a floating ZeroTangle 4.0 main brush and an anti tangle side brush, with tangle detection Ecovacs US ↗.

Obstacle avoidance is excellent. Vacuum Wars scored it 4.80, and it avoided 23 of 24 test objects Vacuum Wars ↗. That matters in homes with cords, socks and pet toys on the floor.

The roller mop beats most pad mops. Vacuum Wars scored mopping at 3.96, against a 2.39 average across robots it tested, and credited the roller system Vacuum Wars ↗. The mop lifts 15 mm on carpet, and ultrasonic carpet detection raises suction there Ecovacs US ↗.

Runtime is generous. Ecovacs rates it for up to 140 minutes of vacuuming in silent mode on hard floors Ecovacs US ↗. Vacuum Wars named it its top pick from $300 to $600, with an overall score of 4.02 Vacuum Wars ↗. Hands on testing on our side is in progress.

Where it falls short

It is hard to buy new. Ecovacs' US store showed it as sold out at $799.99 when we checked, with only an arrival notice button Ecovacs US ↗. Vacuum Wars says the price recently dropped sharply and links to Amazon Vacuum Wars ↗, but stock and price may change quickly.

Navigation and battery are only average. Vacuum Wars scored navigation 3.67 and battery 3.15, and said navigation is good but not best in class Vacuum Wars ↗.

The dock is loud when it empties. Ecovacs lists 71 dBA in silent mode and 76 dBA in standard mode for dust collection Ecovacs US ↗. Cleaning itself is quieter at about 60 dBA Ecovacs US ↗.

Climbing is limited. Ecovacs rates it for a single step of 2.4 cm, or up to 4 cm across stepped thresholds Ecovacs US ↗. Taller transitions may stop it.

The spec sheet is inconsistent. Ecovacs' page lists the obstacle system as both AIVI 3D 4.0 and 3.0, and gives the mop nozzle count as 16 in one place and 32 in another Ecovacs US ↗. The page also does not state warranty terms directly Ecovacs US ↗.

Pricing and plans

Ecovacs' US store lists the T90 Pro Omni at $799.99, but it was sold out when we checked Ecovacs US ↗. The same page offers the T90S Pro Omni at $899.99 and a T90 Pro Omni bundle with a Buddy Kit at $850 Ecovacs US ↗. Vacuum Wars says the price has dropped into the $300 to $600 range at Amazon Vacuum Wars ↗.

There is no subscription, but plan for consumables. Ecovacs sells a 3 pack of dust bags for $24.99, a replacement filter for $14.99, a roller mop for $33.99 and a main brush for $19.99 Ecovacs US ↗. A half year accessories kit costs $154.95, and 1 liter of pet friendly cleaning solution costs $24.99 Ecovacs US ↗.

Ecovacs links to separate returns, warranty and extended warranty pages but does not state the warranty length on the product page Ecovacs US ↗.
