OUR VERDICT

Adobe Podcast is the first thing to try when a voice recording sounds bad. Its Enhance Speech filter is free and removes noise and echo in a few clicks. Premium, at $9.99 a month per a third party review, is worth it only if you process long files or many episodes.

What Adobe Podcast is

Adobe Podcast is a set of browser tools from Adobe for recording and cleaning up spoken audio. The best known is Enhance Speech, which Adobe describes as an AI filter that makes spoken audio sound like it was recorded in a soundproofed studio Adobe Enhance Speech ↗.

Around it sit Mic Check, which uses AI to analyze your microphone setup, and a browser recording studio where remote guests join by link and each person records on a separate track Tools for Humans review ↗. Premium adds transcription based editing Tools for Humans review ↗.

What it does well

Enhance Speech is the reason to use it. You upload a recording made in a kitchen, a car or an echoey office, and it reduces background noise, echo and room reflections to make the voice clearer Tools for Humans review ↗. For podcasters who record outside a treated room, it can rescue an episode you would otherwise have to re record.

It is very easy. There is nothing to install and almost nothing to adjust, and a March 2026 review by Tools for Humans calls the interface simple with a short learning curve Tools for Humans review ↗. That makes it a good tool for guests, interviewers and small business owners who are not audio engineers.

Mic Check is a useful extra before you record. It flags setup problems so you can fix them before they reach the file Tools for Humans review ↗.

It fits into Adobe's other apps. The review notes it works with Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro Tools for Humans review ↗, and Premiere itself now includes Enhance Speech Adobe Premiere ↗.

Where it falls short

Limits on the free plan are tight for long shows. The same review lists a 30 minute and 500MB cap per file, and 1 hour of enhanced speech a day Tools for Humans review ↗. A one hour interview has to be split or processed on Premium.

It is not a full editor. The review calls its editing tools shallow and says advanced work usually moves to Audition or another audio editor Tools for Humans review ↗. It also lists reported quality inconsistencies, slower performance on large files and slow support Tools for Humans review ↗. Listen to the whole result before you publish.

Adobe's own pages did not show plan limits or prices when we checked Adobe Enhance Speech ↗. The figures in this review come from the third party review, so confirm them when you sign up.

Premium costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, about 17% less Tools for Humans review ↗. It raises limits to 1GB and 2 hour files and 4 hours of enhanced speech a day, and adds video support, bulk upload, adjustable enhancement strength, unlimited Studio downloads, transcription based editing and speaker separated downloads without Podcast branding Tools for Humans review ↗.
